Conditions MeRT Can Treat
MeRT can be used to treat an array of Neurological Conditions
MeRT, which stands for Magnetic Resonance E-Therapy is a non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical treatment. Mental health conditions and other types of brain dysregulation, are just some of the conditions MeRT can treat.
Board-certified neurologist, Spencer Miller, M.D. has brought a state-of-the-art technology called MeRT to Oklahoma City for treatment of conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Autism, among others.
The equipment used in the MeRT process is FDA-cleared to treat Depression and OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), and is currently being used off-label to treat other conditions. MeRT, which stands for Magnetic E-Resonance Therapy, is a treatment process that is guided by very sophisticated qEEG imaging, and uses a magnetic coil to modulate and balance dysregulation occurring in the brain.
A comprehensive list of conditions that we treat includes:
- Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)/Drug-Resistant Depression
- Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Disorders
- Autism *
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Anxiety
- Learning Disorders
- ADHD
- After-Effects of Stroke
- Dementia
- Parkinson’s Disease
- Sleep Disorders
* Our clinic treats children 5 years and older for Autism and other developmental disorders.
The brain is a very unique organ, therefore, every patient responds a little differently. In the initial 2-week assessment period of treatment, we are able to determine how our patients will benefit from ongoing MeRT treatment, which is a highly personalized and targeted approach to non-invasive and non-pharmaceutical brain neuromodulation.
